The MedTech Forum is one of the largest health and medical technology industry conferences in Europe. Since 2007, The MedTech Forum has been a key event for industry leaders, innovators and investors to discuss the future opportunities within the medical technology sector.

Our challenge was to attract new, targeted audiences to The MedTech Forum event alongside increasing their database of prospects for future communication purposes. A key aspect of this was to create awareness and visibility of the event online by reinforcing The MedTech Forum as Europe’s leading medical technology event.

Alongside this, we were also required to develop a communications strategy that nurtured links with Key Opinion Leaders in the medical device and technology sector.

  • +733 new LinkedIn followers

  • 16.7% e-blast open rate followers with CTR of 14.68%

The Solution

The first phase of developing the communications plan was identifying the audiences that would benefit most from the event. Evaluating speakers, sessions and keynotes from the programme we created three key groups.

These three audiences were: Start-ups and SMEs, Medical Technology Professionals and Investors. Defining these audiences led the activity through specific messaging on dedicated landing pages and tailored content across each channel.

Bespoke landing pages were used for both acquisition and retention of relevant users, communicating key benefits to increase attendee numbers, alongside collecting data to build future visibility of the annual event through targeted emails and social media campaigns.

Throughout the campaign we utilised Social Media channels and email blasts in a phased approach. Splitting the timeline out from ‘Early Bird’ Ticket Sales through to ‘Last Chance’ registry, we were able to further define messaging and add direct call to actions to specific content.
